Karen Mathews was born and raised in a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri. She has a keen sense for business and has spent her career in office management, in the medical field as well as in other industries. Most people who know her would describe her as logical and levelheaded. She is a critical thinker who is always searching for justification for life's events.
Why Karen writes
Even before her heart was whole, the Lord burdened Karen with the task of writing the accounts of her life. Despite her attempts to ignore this calling, she eventually surrendered and began to write. Initially, those writings were intended to be her private diary, a place for her to process her thoughts and experiences in solitude. However, after about a year, she began to sense that there was a greater purpose beyond her own personal benefit. Karen's hope is that her readers will understand that, as Christ's followers, we are all broken people living in a broken world. By sharing her stories, her struggles, and her victories, she invites readers to embrace the strength and warmth she has discovered to be vital in our collective journey toward deeper faith and community.

The devil was constantly pulling Karen away from her faith, and at times, he had her doubting her place in the kingdom. God never gave up and continually pursued Karen and drew her back into a relationship with Him. Karen's life is proof that if you don't give up on God, He will not give up on you.

What is Karen working on now?
Karen is helping to start up a 501C3 that will provide parenting resources & Christ-centered spiritual care in a residential setting to mothers whose children are in foster care. Goal is to reunite the family in a Christ-centered home
